Marquette-Adams Telephone Cooperative is considering bringing superior high speed Internet, television and voice line capabilities into the City of Adams in the fall/winter of 2016. Our goal of providing you with our services can be achieved with a 45% commitment to our Cooperative from the City of Adams’ citizens. The questions listed below are specific to the Connect Adams Initiative. If you are searching for information regarding Marquette-Adams services, please visit our homepage here. If you have already signed up for service and would like to take advantage of our Refer-A-Friend Program, click here.
If you live within the City of Adams, you are eligible for service from Marquette-Adams. If your address is in Friendship, Marquette-Adams is unable to offer service to you at this time. Click here to see if your home or business is in the proposed expansion area.
Committing to Marquette-Adams service is as easy as 1-2-3!
1. Fill out the Commitment Agreement
2. Complete the Customer Application (requires a 1-year minimum contract)
3. Submit payment of $100 (a credit to be applied to your future service)
The Commitment Agreement is a form that not only explains Marquette-Adams commitment requirements, but also, once signed and returned with all the required submissions, will guarantee that you receive free fiber burial to your home. Note: In the event that you sign the commitment agreement and later choose to cancel your order for service prior to installation, you will forfeit your $100 commitment payment and fiber will not be buried to your residence or business.
The Customer Application lists all of Marquette-Adams’ available service offerings. With this form, you will choose your desired Marquette-Adams services. Once signed, please return this form along with the signed Commitment Agreement and $100 payment. Note: All City of Adams citizens who wish to become a Marquette-Adams customer will be required to commit to at least 1 year of Marquette-Adams service, which will begin on the date of installation. Failure to maintain active service for the length of the 1-year contract will result in an early termination charge of $150.
If you sign up prior to June 7th, your $100 payment will be applied to your account as a credit. In other words, you get that money back to use towards your Marquette-Adams service. If you wait to sign up until after the deadline, your $100 will be used as an aid to construct, and will not be applied as an account credit.
June 7th, 2016
If Marquette-Adams does not reach the goal of 45% commitment, expansion planning will cease, and any submitted commitment payments will be refunded.
If Marquette-Adams does reach the goal of 45% commitment, construction in your area will begin in late summer, and your service will be installed during the fall/winter of 2016. Your $100 commitment payment will be applied as an account credit.
Committing to Marquette-Adams’ service will guarantee that you receive free fiber burial to your home as long as the threshold of 45% community commitment is met. Also, your $100 payment will be applied as an account credit instead of an aid to construct.
You are still encouraged to become a member of the Cooperative. However, a one-time charge of $100 will be required up front that will be used as an aid to construct in your area, instead of an account credit.
